Has anyone seen these picture from Sherwood Lee's site?

He took the pictures while touring the Porsche Factory in August 1971. Cool stuff, has this for the description, at first he thought it was a 9146-GT but was informed of the following by a friend.
"...one of apparently eleven built; chassis #9142-33-0014, build #131 0434,
and fitted with engine #632-5022. Painted in Brown Metallic...It was the only 916 painted brown."
Enjoy,

Enjoy,

That's good. That means the chances of me buying a brown 916 are minimal :-)

Mostly 911 stuff, since that's what he has. Has some really good worksheets on corner balancing and other stuff. More good pics too.

the first owner of this 916 was Wolfgang Porsche
production date was 22 Oct 1971

today still the 2nd owner (in Germany)
interesting detail: the wife of the second owner had the yellow 916 for a while, before it was sold to Otis Chandler (USA) in 1981
