Paul, how about this if you are still looking for a console?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282022495769?_tr...K%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Kind of the right money and others comments about prices are about right. I think I paid £1100 for my NOS unit and that must be 3 possibly nearer 4 years ago and it took me another 2 years to find a thermostat. I feel your pain both in looking and the wallet......as you say keep nibbling away Looks good quality repro and if you wanted comparative photos I can take some for you of my console's (NOS and a corroded one). Let me know Jon |

Slowly picking away at the bits and pieces. Need a 911s Oil thermostat 90110780101 that fitted 69-71 IF I was not such a luddite, I would post a pic.... Thanks Paul Just saw this ... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911-S-Oil-...%3D222050844027 Paul, how about this if you are still looking for a console? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282022495769?_tr...K%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Kind of the right money and others comments about prices are about right. Let me know Jon The first one I've quoted has an obvious repair to the sealing ring. The second one that was "remanufactured" seems to have had the sealing ring lip turned off. This is the common location for corrosion for these, so it isn't surprising. I would hold out for a nicer original or a good repro. cheers, dug |

Yes, its a 69-71S console and thermostat used in the GT, but with different lines and plumbed in reverse, requiring a spacer for the console to clear the body, and a pressure relief valve. Please post pics of what you have, including the surface that seals against the tank. thanks, dug |

Let me know Jon Hi Jon Sorry for the late reply, haven't been at theworld for a bit. I am still looking, probably not hard enough...I have too many life issues and busy time in life, switching job gears so I can someday shift some gears. Anyway, I would prefer OEM...does not need to be NOS.... I know some of the members have consoles and I had not responded or inquired of them directly, will attend to that first. Thanks for the help. Enjoy your car! Paul |

Thank you for this thread, it made me curious about what I actually have. I thought I had a standard 6 filter console and had to go take a look. I now know that what I have is pretty rare, and they don't come up for sale very often. Mine appears to be in pretty good shape on the sealing surfaces.

You are right, this thermostat is not from a 914. In my searches today I saw that people were adding the tab if using it in a 914.
I am interested in selling, but do not know an appropriate price point. |

Yes it is off of that car. You have a very good memory. There is quite the story about that car that I need to share one of these days.

@mepstein
Your setup complete with both of the flexible lines is definitely a desirable kit for an early S guy. But you should remove the console from the tank and check for corrosion around the lip hiding under the body to tank seal. That is where these have the most problems. If it is in good shape you will be able to get top dollar for the whole setup. cheers, dug |

For those who have posted that they have and/or might want to sell..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) If still interested in selling, please email....and let me know. I believe I have emailed, no response. Do not want to hassle you, you have the parts, I don't. But would be nice to tick this off the "to do" list. And to those who have not posted...but have these stashed away somewhere.....? I can do without the "correct" thermostat, with the tab for mounting...it also has a larger inner diameter, for larger engines etc....and while it would be nice to have, is not a must. Thanks Paul (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |
