or Not For Safe Work. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif)

BTW, that was truly horrible. I recommend no one else look. There's a reason there wasn't a link posted. This is most definitely a warning, not a tease.

The hackers added that awful pic after I went there early this morning and noticed the site was no longer available. That really sucks! (no pun intended) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)

I was going to say "Insert Rim-Shot Here", but that'd be a REAL bad pun too!

simply terrible, checked the stf first thing this morning, definitely a rude and horrific awakening.

The stf has really been hurting the past 6 months. Its been down so many times, not always due to hackers either.

Certinaly seems like this hacker has a personal vendetta against the stf. Disgruntled banned user perhaps?

Jeez. We should combine this thread with "network porn" and "I like it shaved"...

And remember, "this thread is useless without pics..." (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/icon8.gif)

(I can't believe I got that in first.)

It's not a personal vendetta, it's just a bunch of fuckin "script kiddies". The PHP system that STF is built on is riddled with security holes. There are newer versions available with most of the holes patched, but that is more work than the STF "staff" can deal with. The result is that low-grade morons can use canned scripts to attack the site and replace the front page with one of their choosing.

And, as you can see, they do.

I believe they are simply hitting BBS sites at random.

Geezus... I never really go there anymore... This morning I was bored at work and thought I would check it out (before I read this post).

Holy shit, did that suck (ha ha). I had to go tell our security people that it was a goof, if they saw anything on their IDS sensors. Rats.

Later,
Tom
