What a moron, proof yet again that some people have more money than sense.

Ferrari doesn't build drag cars, they build GT cars. People would ask me what my 0-60 times were, I'd tell them not very impressive, but 60-140 was a different story.

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif) Death is a camel that lies down at every door..... Should have bought a 914 and spent the difference on Drivers Education!

I love that the guy u pnext was a Chevette. I'll bet it'd spank that Ferrari.

The Porsche dealer in Swickley, PA used to roll a week-long course at Bondurant (sp?) with anything over $50,000. $4,000 WELL spent!

I thought that was funny. The previous runs had the smoke and noise of the drag strip with whoops and hollers. The Ferrari was just a slow motion accident followed by laughing. Pow! Right into the wall. It looks like it was in Australia.

You referring to your 911? Every time someone wants to drive my M3 I think about that. Did any kind of restitution ever get worked out? I sure hope so.

That didn't even look like a drag race. It looked more like a burnout contest.

The guy in the Ferrari looked like he had it floored all the way to the wall. He had the wheels turned and it plowed straight ahead.

QUOTE
let off throttle

Nope.

This driver needs a little skid pad work.

He could have bought a nice 914, gone to our GGR driving school, learned all about letting off the throttle when you experience under steer and probably saved a lot of money over what it'll cost to fix the F.

But there is good news: He didn't do it further down the track, which would probably have killed him (no helmet).
