It's a 3.6 or 4.0L Evinrude marine engine. Put out 275-300hp stock. Inefficient, but wow! I wish I could find specs on what he's getting out of it after the work he's done on the exhaust and such. He's on Facebook:

Would be interesting to see someone take a 911
case and crank, put 6 piston port 2 stroke assemblies on it
and feed a turbo through the breather on top of the engine.

Would be different.... Lot less moving parts...

Split cage roller main bearings ?????????

Sounds like my my Vintage Bass Boat's Johnson V4 2 stroke that puts out 140HP. Thought it would make for a wild 914 conversion but how to get water threw it to cool it would be a major problem to overcome. The Video of the V8 looks like there's (3) radiators but I think that even with that the heat would eventually spike and kill it. Might be a good drag car set up?

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) I'll have to look into that for when I get my Ducati 2-stroke running (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Awesome ! I love 2 strokes. I remember a CanAm car that had 4 Kohler twin cylinder snowmobile engines, one on each wheel.
Those big 8 cyl Evenrudes are now a highly sought after collector item for the boat guys, Like a 2.7RS MFI is to us.
