Mike,

I was going to send Bob the payment tomorrow...if you're coming, I can cover your cost and you can just pay me in person. Let me know quickly though...

Tony

Is there a parts swap/sale area to the fest or is it mostly just show/driving?

There is not a real "official" swap area but we have a good part of the parking lot reserved for the event so there are not a lot of limitations.

Ok, thanks.

Trying to decide if I should drive the 914 and chance it's reliability after just getting it back from a mechanical rebuild (after sitting for 31 years), drive the 911 and make it a date weekend with the wife, or drive the truck with possibility of picking up parts I need. Or I guess I could tow the 914 with a buddies trailer....decisions decisions.

Drive the 914 and still make it a date weekend with your wife. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Sounds like all your options would be a good date weekend for the wife (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

FYI, I made room reservations this AM and they still had rooms at the reduced rate. Only rooms available were with two double beds.

Looks like I will be there very late Thursday night.

still..............unsure on mode of transportation, lol. But with all those prizes and the amount of work still needed on my car I am thinking I should bring a Uhaul semi!!

Ok so things keep getting interesting. Anybody know about SK Tools?

Not sure what it will be but it seems like SK likes 914s!

My dad bought me an SK metric socket set 41 years ago when I got my first dirt bike. Its still my "go to" set I grab when working on my Porsches now!!!

WOW! My dad purchased me a set of SK metric wrenches as well. Not 41 years but close to 25 years ago. They are still my go to set as well.

I have played around with the 10 mm ones they sent. This Frame-X line seems to be really good stuff that will be around for another 41 years.

I've decided to make the trip. My son will be driving a support vehicle, just in case, and I will be driving the build off project car.
