Excuse me... what have I done (yet!!) to deserve it??

I think Steve would have been the recipient of it last year - first he left late (with all the shirts) then broke down on the way to the hotel where I had to go pick him and the shirts up so we could open registration, got towed to the hotel. Then he ran into Bill Dunster on the drive! Oh, and the planned drone video that failed miserably...

if it wasn't for Don Russells fire, Steve almost won the Jack Stand award for a second time and would have been a shoe-in for the Crimson Shaft!!

Word from my guy is that my car WILL be ready for okteenerfest!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

Still a little hesitant to drive it the 8 hours both ways and several hours while there without a support vehicle/trailer within free AAA towing distance. Next week will be the first time it has run since 1981. But at least it will be there!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)

I also finally got all my documentation copied and put in a three ring binder so I don't need to lug around the originals with potential of losing them.

Hey Robby, what route are you going to take to get through the mountains? I'm really going to make this an adventure and drive US 421 all the way, starting in Richmond. Will see some parts of KY that I've never visited, and have my AAA, Visa and cell phone ready to go! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Planning on leaving Thursday morning. Stopping in Ft. Mill SC to go by the Cocomats plant and pick up my new custom frunk mat that is being made as we speak- will match my floor mats that I got 5 years ago! The color will match my copper car.
We were going to tow but I think I'm going to drive it. It's made it from Ct last month 1000 miles and has made the trip to Okteenerfest last 2 years as well . Should be able to get there. A few things left to do- one more time, new 6x16 Fuchs arrive Friday, - with new fuel pump it now runs rich so rechecking timing and then work on mps .
Had to reschedule the body and paint work for later this fall, oh well. Didn't make my goal of having it all done-
Looking forward to seeing in person some of the other build cars that are coming!

Man what sad news.

Looks like my cat took all of the prizes and left town! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bs.gif)

OK not really. Too many people know where I live to try that.

But our good buddy Mark Whitesell of 914 Rubber is coming in and was looking for a ride. I have offered to let him drive my car but there may be a few more exiting cars out there for him. So if you want to potentially give Mark a seat let me or Mark know.

For the past three years, I have meant to take a ride in William's "slightly modified" original -6. And every year, never get a chance because I'm always running around getting stuff done for the event. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

But THIS year... I am going to make it happen (IMG:style_emoticons/default/evilgrin.gif)

If my daughter will swap seats Friday for a little while during the drive, he can ride with me - she will probably want a little break from the noise. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
