Hi Robby, nice clean car you have! Just wondering, did you backdated the rear bumper and maybe the front will be next? I am also thinking doing one at a time on my 75 1.8. Thanks!

I backdated the rear when I had the car painted because I had a perfect rear bumper at the time but no front. I was thinking I'll do the front later. That was fifteen years ago! LOL!

I will need some guidance when I get to the point of installation- mainly just determining where to pull the positive and negative from to the lighting connection- I think I know but want to make sure-

We had a great time. We will definitely be coming back next year.

Guess I need to get busy on my new drivetrain if I want to make it there next year with my six.

I had an awesome time! It was nice meeting so many more 914 enthusiasts.

A huge thanks to all the sponsors - your generosity is appreciated.

To our organizers - THANK YOU! There were a lot of moving parts to this gathering and you made it look easy. Very well done. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

One of the best aspects of Okteenerfest is that we drive!

And we drive some more, sometimes in slight disregard of posted speed limits!

But we do have to occasionally slow down, but not for long.

It was a great trip, a great gathering of our passion for a funny little car, and in a great location for twisty driving.

Big thanks to Steven, Bob, Nadine and all who helped put this event together. The drive was amazing (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif), as was the camaraderie of the other attendees. It was great to finally meet many of the characters (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) on this forum.

I started this post Sunday night, then closed my browser before I hit Add Reply!

I know I speak for the rest of the team when I say a big THANK YOU to all of you that attended! What started out as a great idea for a drive weekend by Steve has grown every year with this year topping out over 110 people!!! With so much to do, we've added Bill and Ali Dunster to the team to help with registration and the car show.

And without Mike's tenacity, we wouldn't have SO MANY awesome door prizes and companies that support us! (maybe one of these days, I'll actually win one of those door prizes!!)

Yes...putting on Okteenerfest is a lot of work with a lot of moving parts. And Yes, I'm sure we could make it easier on ourselves if we weren't so anal about the little things. But in the end, it's all of YOU that come and enjoy yourselves that makes it all worth it!!

We look forward to seeing everyone again next year, with the goal of making it even bigger - and better - than in the past!!

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) 100% with what Bob said.

And this year, I actually WON something (besides the Jack Stand award (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) )
