Especially since you have a strong engine now!!!!!
I am strapping some old tires to the rear bumper to be sure. It will look like a boat dock from behind. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon_bump.gif)

It's a good thing your brakes were more powerful than my engine last year. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

Thinking about going just moved into the area and no way I can have the car ready by the end of September too much going on with the move into the new house. Can I bring the 911 it is Air Cooled so that has to count for something. I ran into Bob this morning @ my Brothers Bagels in Denver NC
he mentioned the get together. Bob was hauling a gorgeous 914 which started us talking.

Hey Joe
Yes, good to meet you this morning! Come on...get that 914 done!!
Sure, bring the 911 - you at least OWN a 914... I had to drive our GT3 last year since we had just broken the suspension on our 914 (the one you saw) the weekend before.

Hey, we're all 914 owners...we all understand that sometimes our little cars just aren't quite ready yet.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Betty and I are coming up from Texas. Stopping somewhere around Memphis for the night.

You want to meet up there we can drive on in together.

With my recent troubles with my 914, I have not posted the great support we have gotten from our sponsors. So I will try to get some of it out each night.

First, Charels who will be there with his 914. Representing Bosch NAPA has sent some really great stuff. As I said Bosch is sending plugs we can install in you car before the drive. They sent a bunch of other cool stuff that you will want. Bosch is a true supporter of the 914. Charles even searched for some rare parts for the 914.

I will take some of these for sure.

Would like to welcome a new sponsor Dakota Digital.

If I had their digital cylinder head temperature gauge I bet I would not be swapping cracked heads!

Oh yea, Scott said they are sending one of the gauges as a prize for the event! I purchased one of these (yes Bob and Steve I have a receipt) that you can see work at the event! This likely could have saved my head.

Ok guys! I know we all need some items for our cars prior to the event. We have been working with our vendors to set up some specials. I have requested a revision of the date so it could be used prior to the event. Even if not, it is still a really good offer.

Ecklers has provided this:

Coupon Code: POT916
Duration: Sept 22- Oct 10
Promo details: 15% Off [no minimum]
Event: Okteener Tennessee Fest

But there will be more to follow. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) Thoughts?

Would like to welcome a new sponsor Rix 914 Parts to Okteenerfest.

Rich is providing one of his custom made Firewall Mat for the 914 made from the same high tech composite materials used in new car applications today. This more modern material is lightweight, water resistant (essential for the firewall area), resists high temperatures, and deadens sound. Considering it weighs only 1-lb 13oz. compared to stock original mat which weighs 11-lbs 4oz it is a pretty good weight reduction that still maintains that stock look.

Looks like a winner!

Peter deJonge at Restoration Design Inc. is going to provide a 10% discount on parts to Okteenerfest attendees.

Still working out the details but still going to be a good deal!
