http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...TRK%3AMEWA%3AIT

I saw these this morning and I knew they would be gone by tonight. I considered them for an hour or maybe 2. I sat at my monitor with my coffee trying like hell to jump on them. I just don't need them right now and other matters have priority(like a house remodel, an ailing pet, a pending wedding, blah blah blah).

His shipping says $200, but if you read the ad, he intended to ship them for actual shipping cost. Not a bad deal at all.

Anyone here get 'em?

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif) Really high shipping for 4 wheels. Got to watch the shipping costs on ebay stuff. More & More that is where the money is made and they don't pay ebay fees on the shipping.

I emailed him before the auction closed. He was only going to charge actual shipping. If you read the ad, he pretty much says this. Also if you are LA local and alot of people here are, you could just pick them up. Regardless, you are right, always check the shipping and other pimp charges.

Yeah, I saw that feedback already. Not very confidence inspiring for sure. I don't know, I think those were a deal. I would have to search high and low to find them that cheap locally and I would probably wind up with copies for $400-$500.

OK, I give up I am obviously pissing into a fan on this one. Just as well I didn't buy them if they are plentiful at that price from dependable sellers.

Thanks for the opinions either way.

Best way to stop excess shipping charges from an ebay vendor is to open a Fedex account. Tell the person to use your account number. Then set up the pickup on line with FedEx using your account. I did that to a guy who sold me some wheels and wanted $200 for shipping. I shipped them FedEx ground for $50!

He couldnt argue with me. It was funny to hear the silence on the other end of the phone when I told him I would have FedEx pick up the wheels.

Also most everyone FedEx, UPS, USPS has shipping cost calculators. Its easy to see if they are charging more than published costs. Just remeber most businesses have discounts below published rates if your buying from a business.

...and after reading this ebay ad I suspect these just might bet be hot.
