Driving back from NH this morning I hear something dragging underneath the car. First chance I get I pull into a garage parking lot. Nothing under the car, huh. Turn around and i spy a rusting hulk on a flatbed (no, not a 914 but a Goggomobile!). Apparently it was hauled from a field in VT and the driver just arrived.
I chatted him up a bit and another person arrived to check out the vehicle. Turns out that he used to race 914s until he realized that racing motorcycles was safer (funny guy). I assume he meant motocross. Anywho, he owns two 914s he wants to part with.
Stay tuned for "the rest of the story"

I believe it was in Winchester at the intersection of Rtes 10/78/119. Also stopped at 4Ever4 Motors a bit earlier in W. Swansey. There were some Beetles and Transporters in the lot there; no people though on a Sunday morning.
Odd little car that Goggomobile *rear- engined, aircooled 2-cylinder*. Can be seen at www.goggo.net. -Mike
