I just got my E-Mail copy of the "Sprecher Newsletter" from the Central PA Region, (CPA) that runs the Porsche Hershey Swap Meet each year. Nice report on the Concours Show Field revealed the following results.
This year had the Largest turn out for the Concours Field ever with 88 Cars entered. Class E which includes our 914's was the largest Class at the Concours with 27 cars in it. Our 914's made up over 60% of Class E showing 17 914's including 3 914-6's. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif) The winner of Class E was Dale Yingst's 914. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) Also, Tom Mott's 914-6, driven in from Chicago to the show, won the "Car Driven the Longest Distance Award. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif) Congrates to all for making 914's well represented, and in force, at the largest Porsche gathering in America. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) One other interesting comment to mention is that the President of CPA-PCA, Steve Limbert, owns a 914-6 GT. He also won the Auction for the Stevens College 914 so he now has two 914's. Steve's a good people. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) Doug |
