(IMG:style_emoticons/default/slap.gif) John - Your car doesn't even run? Hilarious. You might be the first to win one of these with a non-driving car! Sweet. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif)
Tony Finished the engine today, ready to go in this weekend. Waiting on one car part and then a call to Gandalf.... |

Johns car runs occasionally, then he gets a hair across his ass and he pulls the motor, calls Gandalf with some idea and off he goes....
This time we are hoping, the motor stays in, for a season at least... |

Thank Andyrew and everyone all very much..
All the cars are spectacular and uniquely individualistic. I was honored to have my car nominated and placed in the field with such wonderful 914's. The win is bitter sweet. I know how much time and effort every contestant has put into their cars, and there is no good better and best here, they are all fantastic cars. These cars will be nominated again, and again, and will all be winners at another time. With much appreciation and Thanks, wndsnd Owner: John Bouchard Year: 1973 Engine: 2.7L/Six Details: Dual Plug, Crank Fired Ignition, Weber 40IDA 3C on PMO tall Manifolds, PMB Brakes, Factory Sway, 15 X Deep 6 Fuchs with hearts, running Dunlop 205's. |

Thanks Bob,
Gandalf was over today and we got the new engine in, plumbed, wired, and for the most part the cams broke in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHUjTcPgvbo One oil hose fitting started leaking pretty good when the oil heated up so I had to shut it down after 10-15 minutes of run, but for a rough start, I was pleased. |
