Works for me without any deterioration or appreciable wear on the mating surfaces. My side shift went in about 8K ago and on daily use, no visible wear and a good slide fit.
The drive-train is out for a couple of days while i install a new head in the place of a one-in and one-out spark plug pop-out conversion that was bestowed upon my ride out of the blew... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/WTF.gif) So i had a good opportunity to inspect the linkage bushings.... Oh well. I wanted to clean up the dust from the resent 1850 mile AZ desert run in the engine compartment, change my fuel filter and get a couple of things ready for my distant future 3.0 SC to move in.
