Hey everyone, I just uploaded some photos of the 914 I bought about a month ago. It's a little rough yet but nothing that can't be fixed easily. The date code is wrong on the images because the camera lost power briefly before downloading, in case you're wondering. I'll update more when the work I'm doing to it is done: new chrome bumpers, seats re-done, new carpet, new paint. I'm sure I'll have questions while doing some of these things.....thanks for looking........ (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beerchug.gif)

wow, looks pretty rust free. I like the color (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wub.gif) but ditch the wheels. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

GOOD DEAL, if the longs are good, which I am sure you checked.
Where did you find it? an d you have to tell me what up with the Certificate of Authenticity, ....can I get one ? OT so you can pm if you want, good score, but then again you live in the states, don't want to see what I find for that king of coin, You scored (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) Joe (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beerchug.gif) |

Oh don't think I didn't think of that already Barry (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/w00t.gif) But first I'm just going to get it going and enjoy it as is for awhile. With 3 other Porsches (2 of which have flat sixes and 5 lug Fuchs (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif) ) I'm not disadvantaged in that regard. That said, I'm looking forward to 914 ownership as much as any of the other models. The handling characteristics of these cars are legendary to say the least. Can't wait... Thanks, Joe (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif) I got the application off the 911T Registry webiste here: http://www.911t.org (the link is on this page) .......and here's the actual document itself: http://www.911t.org/birth/birthcert2.doc I have one for all 4 of my Porsches. Not cheap but worth knowing what how your car was originally outfitted from the factory, in my opinion, since NO one gets these cars in original condition with all documentation....at least no one I know.. Welcome to the club! I actually liked those wheels in the 70's and still think they look good on a 914 (if cleaned up).
Show us some pics of the tangerine tail dragger so everyone can tell you it looks red. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif) |

Welcome! Nice car--but then I'm partial to Irish Green. Can't wait to see it with chrome bumpers . . .

Hey thanks Steve, I used to live in Norfolk you know. Still have a brother in Suffolk. Love Virginia, except for the law against possessing a radar detector (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/bs.gif) The chrome bumpers should arrive this week. I think they'll look pretty awesome. Will definately post to the list when the car is ready for another showing. I'm sure it will be a month before that happens though (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/icon8.gif) Take care! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_wirdgut.gif) |
