I have seen a few 928's on CL, so I went out and drove one. The car had a little south of 95,000 miles on it and seemed to run out well. engine sounded and looked good, no noticeable leaks or noises. all the fluids looked good.
The body and interior were both in pretty bad shape. That being said has anyone tired transplanting the engine out of a 928 into to a 914? I haven't seen one or found a thread/build off on one yet, may not performing the search correctly though. Maybe it hasn't been done because of the size of the V8. Does anyone know? Thanks |

I've found google searches of the sites work well for model number and engine size searches.
FYI a 928 engine swap is an insane amount of work, plus some to make it look as good as good as Rich's alien. There are two more in Europe, but don't look as nice as his in my opinion. |

I'm not worthy. What a difficult build, I admire the Craftsmanship coming Out of Duluth. Well done. |

I've found google searches of the sites work well (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Whatever you're looking for then add site:914world.com in google search, works way better than the search feature on the forum. |

I put what I'm searching for in quotes and usually find what I'm looking for. I also once read through all the threads in the garage so I sort of have an idea whats on the site. - I'm sort of a fast reader (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

There is another build that had to extend the entire chassis just to make the engine swap work. |
