Sorry for such a basic question but I'm new to the 914. When I bought the car it ran. Now it won't start. In the few times the car ran, I seem to remember the fuel pump making a noise when I turned the key. I don't hear that noise anymore. Should the fuel pump make a humming sound in a 76 2.0?

Yes, you should hear the pump prime the system for several seconds when turning the key.
I'd start by checking the fuses and relays on the relay board. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) |
