This ou812 dude has to be a moniker. Is it really you Woody? Scooter? Dr Evil has been asleep. Has to be one of those east coasters. Who is it really toying with us???

No this is not Woody...

Why is he a Righteous dude?

Do all sportos, motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, waistoids, dweebies, tweeners, dickheads all adore him?

Did I say Woody was a Righteous dude? No sir, I did not. But if you want to plan a clambake party, he IS the man.

Besides a clambake all I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Surfing on the big lake they called 'gitche gumee'
The lake, it is said, never gives up her dead
When the skies of November turn gloomy
With a load of iron ore twenty-six thousand tons more
Than the Edmund Fitzgerald weighed empty
That good ship and crew was a bone to be chewed
When the gales of November came early.

Those were some waves

I've never come across a GEX built engine, tho from what I hear, they would make a great mooring anchor.
Well, that is the price of admission,a cheap, reliable and fault-free four for your 914,may not be inexpensive.

Does the tank hold compressed air to start the t-1 engine? Sounds like a good parts score. I look forward to the ads. OH BOY!!!! The firecrackers have just started. A week of this crap. No fun.

No his has a 12v starter just like it did when mounted in the car.

Fireworks aren't legal at least the good ones in Mn. Most of us have to drive to
Wisconsin or North Dakota to get the big mortars and Rockets....

But yeah they've already started here to.

Unless your talking about a different type of fireworks!

The GEX took its last breath over the 4th, After it was repurposed(California Lingo)
into half air compressor, half gasoline engine. it was making pretty good air for around 5 minutes until it dropped a valve seat.

So we decided to take it out to the gravel pit with a case of grainbelt beer and throw some black powder in the jugs and put the two spark plugs back in it.

hot wired it, stood back and blew her up...... nothing left of the GEX!

Talk about your alternate fuel sources.....Didn't the Mythbusters do a show on a engine that ran on gunpowder?

Maybe my next post? Naw

"hot wired it, stood back and blew her up...... nothing left of the GEX!"

and if you are not kidding about blowing it up, it is hard to believe there was nothing left..... but I guess you guys made a movie while doing that, right ?

I gave it to a "acquaintance" so it was ultimately his to do with what he wanted.

If we are going the literal route, yes there was something left, but nothing left of any consequence, Maybe the crank and a few other things could have been salvaged.

And as far as filming that kind of explosion.....no film, no evidence is all I will say.

I have installed a number of GEX long blocks and crate motors over the years.

All of the motors are supposedly test run, yet I have never received one that had valves adjusted in a way that an engine would run.

Of the crate motors, I have never received one that had the valves, carbs or timing adjusted in a manner that would allow the engine to run.

On the last one, all of the above was the same and it wouldn't hold oil due to a stripped drain plug.

As far as I'm concerned, GEX is the "Motormeister" of 4 cylinder engines. Buyer beware.
