I have an early 2 piece handbrake handle that I am trying to get to work, and i can't figure it out. I think I might be missing a gear. Anybody got a diagram on how it goes together? TIA

There is a flat spring with a V notched at the end, welded to the end of part #3. The V engages (I believe) number 5 (pawl). If your spring is broken off, it won't work. I was able to braze mine and it has held so far.
