This car is only garage kept and only gets wet when it is washed. It is by no means a daily driver. This would be a car for the weekend enthusiast that wants to own a piece of history and knows how to take care of a treasure. I just don't have the time to enjoy it so I am parting with it so that finds an appreciative home. This car was restored by a VP of Volkswagen that always wanted to create what he thought was the perfect 914. Some things about the car:
The Good: Mid-engine rear wheel drive with Targa top that removes and stores in the rear trunk Front head lights pop up. The front hood also pops up to reveal a sizable trunk Flat 4- 2.0L Air cooled engine. Fully rebuilt in 2012 The car is equipped with reproduction Fuchs wheels. Falken tires with 205/60R15 Front and 215/65R15 Rear and makes the car sit real nice. Calipers are painted red to match the engine and seat trim. Completely restored leather interior with 2 tone leather seats and completely new carpeting throughout Appearance group center console. Notice this car shipped without a radio. Who needs a radio when you're listening to the purr of this beautiful engine. Nothing sounds quite like it. Zero sag in the doors. The car is completely solid Engine is a 2 liter with a GA engine code, it is equipped with CB Performance Eagle 2248 Cam, 050 Bosch Distributor with electronic ignition, dual Dellortos DLRA36 Carbs, new stainless steel heat exchanger and Auto Atlanta headers. Engine runs very strong and swings the Tach very quickly and sounds great Fuchs Wheels. These wheels are most often seen on the Porsche 911. New turbo tie rods, and shocks all around Custom fiberglass rear bumpers. Much lighter than the standard bumpers adding just a little less weight to the car Body modification include fiberglass front and rear bumpers with front fender running lights The not so Good: There are a few minor body/paint details that would be expected. No major body work needed The shift linkage needs a slight adjustment as shifting from 1st to 2nd is not always perfect. Linkage was adjusted to short shift when the car was redone. These transmissions need more time to engage IMHO. Not a big deal if you shift slow There is a slight tear in the driver's seat vinyl that could be easily repaired Some of the body rubber seals need replaced ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 512] ![]() ![]() ![]() =565516] ![]() Attached thumbnail(s) ![]() ![]() |
