I understand that you can add arrestors to quiet things down. I've got a Triad system with 2.5" finals. Anybody done this?

I often wondered if a SuperTrapp could be added to help quite things down? I never owned one but they are supposed to be tuneable.

I added Vance & Hines baffle's to cut down on a harsh decibel level on
my twin outlet RSR style SS muffler from Turbothomas. It's was just a little too loud. Google any Harley,Sport bike site. If that is what you are referring to. Attached thumbnail(s) |

Supertrapps work OK, but don't bother with just the disks. They only quiet by a couple db. If you're trying to make a noise limit and you're only 1-2 db off, they can help. The full Supertrapp mufflers do a bit more than just the disks, but are also loud. I like the noise, but that's up to preference (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Here's my new set of glasspacks, Jones turbines...really cut down the noise except at WOT they're still pretty loud. Dyno run showed zero loss of power versus megaphones...nice. Got mine from outfit in Roanoke, VA....here's an ebay ad for it--no affiliation but at $36.95 it's a good deal. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jones-Exhaust-Turb...5-/201376341018 |

Mine is a different engine but I'm looking for something free breathing with good sound suppression and I've been looking at Magnaflows right off the headers on my 6. I've also got cutouts for a full note when opened but those Jones with some other glasspacks just before my outlets might have the cruising note I want without being obnoxious for long (500 mile plus) cruises... |

Or see if Jeff wants to sell one of his mufflers that might have a note that is more to your liking. I've always wondered if one of dave's systems would quiet down if the exits were extended out a bit further beyond the valance.

I won't make a joke about the cigar hanging off the lip. Damned nice car! Black on black is always badass when you can pull it off like that. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
How did you handle the sail panel vinyl treatment? is that a textured paint? Did you shave the trim lips? That's tidy. Nicely done. (sorry for the hijack...Keely's car enamored me. Ironically because of everything except the subject at hand (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) ) |

To late to go for a stock concours car LOL. I cant remember who I bought the sail kit from but they said oem material. I did not use the two small trim pieces that go up top.every thing else is powder coated. |

I am running an MK GT3 Exhaust on straight headers.
It was way loud, ear plug loud. I ended up getting CC Inserts The 3 disk 2 1/2" set. www.carchemistry.com ' They stock in different pipe diameters. I ended up using the baffle together with a restrictor which they supply predrilled and you tack weld to the inside tube. They also send you blank restrictors that you can custom drill out to tune if you want. They got rid of the drone, and tamed it some. |
