I think I found my charging problem. Here's a picture of the bottom of my relay board. I'm told that the big hole and melting on the edges is not normal, and the VR contact spades don't stay up. (What in the world might cause that?) Does anyone have another relay board on the shelf they aren't using?

This thread got me thinking is there a diy rebuild thread out there for these?

Not a really hard job Ben just very time consuming,the tar (pitch ) takes for ever to remove and you have to be carefull not to dislodge the contact strips,if this happens you can clear epoxy them back down.
Funny I remember my new GF ''said can I help ''and scrapped the majority of the tar out for me,she was sat down wearing a rather short dress......enough to say it didn't get finished that sunny afternoon.......
