A while back we had a thread on VoIP services and someone signed up for SunRocket. If you use SunRocket, do you like it? How is the service? I have a friend looking at it.
Thanks! |

I'm the one. I like it. My brother got it about a month later, he likes it too.
Price is great if you buy a year at a time $199. That includes 2 local phone #s, local calls, 50 US states, Canada, Mexico & UK calls, too. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/chatsmiley.gif) |

I have BroadVoice. I like it. My local calling area includes German, France, the UK, Malaysia, New Zealand.
I also get a UK number which rings in my house in San Francisco. $1.95/mo extra. |

I signed up for Vonage. Should have my number transfer complete and running in a week or so. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

The reason I am asking is for a friend that is dumping Vonage because of poor performance. Lots of odd behavior like dropped calls, fast busy, etc.. You might want to try it out before you cancel your land line. |

I have packet 8 and have had some problems here and there. dropped calls, fast busy, RNA, etc. I don't use the phone a lot so no big deal to me. a friend at work (network engineer w/VoIP experience) switched to broad voice and gets much better quality for the same price.

Packet 8 here... No real issues, except the time I accidently blocked it's MAC address on my firewall... I like the 20 bucks a month!
