My cap doesn't seal tight. If I have a half a tank of gas or more it slushes around and comes up through the cap....then sits in that collar and smells.
When I look at the cap. the diaphram inside is sliding around. i guess there's a spring in there and it's lost its tension. I only see one replica metal one on ebay from AA . the early Ghia or Bug caps look right but I bought one before and it didn't fit. i need a tight new cap..prefer a metal cap but plastic is OK if it does the job |
