I need to take the e brake handle completely off but the cable assembly doesn't fit through the tunnel and the lever side pin seems frozen on. The picture is of me using PB Blaster and a grip to apply pressure to the pin but it's not budging.

Any ideas?

Cut the cable. Remove the parts. R&R the parts. Buy a new cable.

On mine, the pin rusted solid to the lever. I used a dremel with a grinding wheel to flatten the head, put a punch in the center and drilled it out. Worked perfect and was able to save all the original parts. Make sure you buy the correct length pin when it's time to reassemble. I got some from AA that were too short. But that's what I get for ordering from AA. I'm smarter now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I think PMB carries all the correct pins and clips.

I was not as lucky so I cut all the spot welds off the cable cover guide on the lower portion did the R&R then re-assembled. And welded it back in place.

The other pin just came out. Kind of a bear to do, and then I noticed the carpet kit doesn't require the removal (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

I'm working on a cool solution. I'll post it if its successful. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)

I stitched up a length of leather, made it a tube, inward sewed the top around the button, and tapered the other side. 3M adhesive on the inside. Should work just fine. The stitching is on the finger groves. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)
