We decided to add another Porsche to the garage and found a 1975 turbo look alike 911s targa. It has a 3.0 engine in it and sounds amazing. Lots of upgrades but still needs a lot of work.

No bashing here...brings back good memories! My first Porsche was a '74 911 Targa (turbo flares too) with a 3.0 - great car! Mine was white.

Yes I will bring th teener next Saturday and you are right about one of the cars being on jack stands. I predict that the 911 will be on jack stands more than the teener.

I might think about it but for now it stays just part of the charm.

Small world, my 2nd 911 was a 74 that I picked up from NYC in 1975.

It was a great time for me, driving a 74 911 as a DD going to the University.....care free time.

Congrats with your new addition.

Too funny. I was in my second year of college...I worked and saved and bought. Mine had a "whale tail" - do what makes you happy, not others! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif)

Bashing? I have one. Except it's 1.5" wider than a turbo all around. being restored next, not as nice condition as yours.

Since this is a 914 forum, of course the cost to insure the 911 will not be the same (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
