Most radio installs had a in-line fuse holder on the 12+ radio wire, connected to un-fused, switched 12+ buss on plate. Use 5A or less fuse !

Dear Jeff, what might make that fuse blow each time I start the car?? Thanks Gregory I'm not Jeff, but I driven with him! I'd look for a broken wire and if you cannot find one then remove bulbs and start putting them back in. Have you replaced a bulb lately? Correct bulb? Nothing broke or twisted when installing it? |

If S9 blows every time you turn your headlights (or just parking lights) on, look for license plate lights that have been wired backwards... Yes, the ground/power does matter!

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Also, those license wires are known to be a PITA and can easily short where they pass thru the rear panel (missing grommet) or where the little spade connectors short out against the bumper. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
