Have a set of five Pedrini's from my original 73. Going to straighten them, have them bead blasted, and refinish them. Grabbed one today and experimented a little. Give your honest opinions. Ya ain't gonna hurt my feelings. It's just an idea, and I don't care what ya think anyways (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)

Stay with the original?

Don't rag on the crappy paint job. it's very wet, and I didn't spend any time on the cleaning first.

A few highlights

The unpainted parts could be highly polished first, or left dull?

Hi Curt!

Makes them look like a Riv...

IMO, Wurth silver and then a clear-coat is the best way to go.

Yeah... I can see that.

It's a different look. I dunno, maybe it would grow on me.

Last time I talked to Wayne Dempsey at PP....said they couldn't get it anymore....

Forget it....just did a web search and Auto Atopia or something like that says they have it @ $16.95 per rattle.

Now I don't know who to believe (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sad.gif)

NO red! Please! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

I think that black looks pretty good. I would not polish the highlights. Just a nice brushed aluminum looks cool to my eyes. I bet they look good spinning. Hard to tell from the photo if you have gloss on there - I would go with a low sheen satin.

That spray paint is easy to remove or cover - you can always go with a polished look if you don't like the results.

What's you main squeeze think? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

Try GPR for Wurth. I know they stock the clear, they can probably get the silver.

With the metal exposed parts makes the wheel look pretty busy. An idea maybe to leave the lips unpainted/polished and the rest black?

The black with polished ribs reminds me of British Cosmic Wheels made for MG's, Lotus, etc. They were cast, painted black with polished highlights.
