I purchased my 72 914 from the owner of a body shop back in February of 2016. This is what it looked like when I paid for it:

Prior to my purchase, owner had already acquired factory AC parts and started to install fiberglass body kit including fender flares. I opted to pay owner to finish the body and paint work prior to delivery. |

After interior, got the car back in my workshop. My son's Bradley GT II in the shot as well.
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i304.photobucket.com-11380-1472495988.1.jpg)(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i304.photobucket.com-11380-1472495989.2.jpg) Once I got the car running again, discovered I had a bad cylinder. Busted valve spring/valve/pushrod. Can't remove the head with the engine in the car so a couple of friends came over and helped me drop the powerplant. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i304.photobucket.com-11380-1472495989.3.jpg) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i304.photobucket.com-11380-1472495989.4.jpg)(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i304.photobucket.com-11380-1472495989.5.jpg) Now that the engine is out, decision time. WRX Conversion is what I'm thinking. Will be searching the site for info on how to approach the conversion. |
