Check for possible loosely seated or too much play in voltage regulator/socket. With my red light on I tapped on VR and the light went out. VR fit kind of sloppy in socket. Spread the spades and bent mounting bracket slightly till it was contacting solid. This condition will give intermittant or constant red light--easy fix. John
