Living dangerously. Removed the trunk hinges for a makeover.
In there place... a chunk of wood, grooved to contain that
bone crusher of torsion rod. No the tie-wrap isn’t doing anything.
I had it there to hold the wood in place before i released the rod ends.

Cleaned up and painted the trunk supports ....and added that racer look.
So I can pretend I’m piloting down the Mulsanne.

Another project was what to do with the front valance.
I’m not running a front cooler set up with this six.
Everyone is making cut out style valances.
So I dug out my original and and coaxed out the edges a little with
pie cuts and added some flared edges to get as close as possible to the fender flare dimensions.

The pie cuts.... toyed with the idea of adding canards like a 906 but
didn’t want to be Batman like and take out peeps legs. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

“aluminum mud” for the shaping. Still need to sand, prep & primer, paint but the weather is not allowing that currently.

Nice work! Can't wait to see the double glove box mod you seem to be planning (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

Really glad to see you finally got some air. You have no idea how often I think of your project and wonder how the heck you get by without it. Most recently was... well... just a few hours ago. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cheer.gif)

Oh, and peeps legs are over rated. I wouldn't worry about them.

Damn you spotted that!
@bbrock , hey I’m going to pick the better one to rehab.
Did you list where you obtained that flocking kit on your thread?
The local craft stores here aren’t carrying it. When I enquirered about
flocking to the cashier, she called security on me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/slap.gif)

I did, but you won't like it. @raynekat sent me what he had for me to use and then send back what was left. You can get it on ebay though. Charcoal is what you want and you can pick up acrylic paint at your craft store for the glue.

I got my kit on eBay from: http://www.ebaystores.com/Flocking-Unlimited

I'd contact them and have them put together a charcoal kit for you. I think I only got the flock and application bottle from them and bought the acrylic paint at a local craft store. This group should be able to give you a matching paint as well.
