Common breakage area....when ANY of mine break I toss them in a pile and then scavenge parts....sometimes the flapper breaks....I have had SOME luck with a spot weld.

i talked to DDD about that awhile back and he suggested that some people layer sheets of epoxy and metal together to make a repair sandwich....but i dunno. I'd rather have a set machined from billet ONCE and be done with it.

That's cool and all--but how much would you pay for it?

(Thought so.)

Check in the "club member parts" section; one of the guys around here is rebuilding/fixing up the old outer door handles.

Would aluminum work good? Then polished or chromed? That would be spiffy and lighter.
