It's been so hot in Florida this year that my interior rear view mirror begins to loosely flop around the ball pivot after the car has been sitting in the sun for a while; targa top on or off doesn't matter. Is there any way to tighten the ball pivot? I was thinking there may be something I could spray in the ball joint to gum it up for friction?? The mirror is cosmetically fine, so really don't want the expense of replacing it yet and it is tight in normal temperatures. Ideas appreciated.

Car is a '74 with the correct mirror.
