Yesterday I posted in the garage forum about a 914 parts car I bought. A number of people chimed in saying they thought it was too nice to part out and cut up, so I'm listing it here as a complete car before I start stripping it. Here is the garage thread with some pictures:
http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=294536 Some basic info about the car: - I bought it from an estate. - Door jamb sticker says it was built 02/70, VIN ends 03436. - It has some rust, but it doesn't seem to be structural (see link). - It had rodents in it. I've cleaned it with disinfectant, but it's still a bit smelly. - Still D-jet, some of it on the engine and some in a box. - It has been off the road for about 25 years. - I don't have a title, but I believe I can apply for one using the bill of sale I got when I purchased it. The car doesn't seem to be in the DMV system anymore. Not sure what it's worth as a basis for a restoration, maybe $2,000 obo? Attached thumbnail(s) |
