black key was the original master, The red was for a valet, which should only work in the door and ignition. . Other than red and black, the difference in the keys visually was insignificant. . only one 'bump' was different. . The keys you pictured were never originally related. . If they both now work it's highly probably someone modified you locks. .

... Other than red and black, the difference in the keys visually was insignificant. . only one 'bump' was different... All 10 cuts are the same on both keys. The difference is in the profile of the key. The "wings" are offset on the Master but not on the Valet. There is a notch in one of the wafers of the trunk and glovebox locks. The notch aligns with the profile of the Valet key, preventing the wafer from moving to the centered position. |
