Hey, so I' up here in Lake Arrowhead, and when I pull the handle for the front trunk cable it isn't releasing the latch. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

For the front trunk: There should be a small hole in the front metal panel that is covered by the bumper. You stick a screwdriver in that and push to one side or the other to release the latch.
If you have access to an owner's manual, the process is detailed in there. For the engine lid: Probably the L-shaped metal brackets on the firewall that hold the lid are failing. They crack at the angle of the L and droop, moving the lid out of alignment. You may be able to open the lid by having someone pull on the knob while someone else pushes the rear edge of the lid forward. --DD |
