914/6 conversion: 911 2,2T
I am on a tight budget so I am probably going to use the Bursch headers as they seem to be the cheapest alternative. Questions. Will the original 911 muffler bolt directly onto the Bursch headers? if so will there there space issues with the heat shield etc? What size pipe for the 2,2 engine 1 1/2" or 1 5/8"? Does the stock 914 2.0 74 hanger work with this set up? Thanks |

Probably 1.5" headers and yes a early 911 muffler will bolt up and the 2.0 hanger works fine. The only issue is the rear valance with a 911 muffler. I don't know if you will have issues where the pipe exits the cutout. Bursch makes a 911 and 914-6 version, so there must be a difference.
