I am in the process of completing a V8 conversion and having issues with the clutch not fully engaging.

This has been a very long term project so the clutch assembly was installed on the transmission and mounted onto the engine over five years ago (not sure if this may be a part of the problem).

We removed the transmission a few weeks ago thinking it was might be the fork lever needing a washer but had no success after installing an extra washer.

We've also adjusted the clutch cable to it's limit and the car still wants to roll when we fire up the engine.

I drove the car up and down the street for the first time yesterday (hoping the clutch would break loose if it was stuck) but had no success.

Any thoughts and or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!
