I think Erik M. hit it. I just finished a 2-day, 1050 mile trip to wcc without a hitch and no flooding. Got 27mpg and that was with a whole bunch of 80mph+.
Car had been sitting a lot. First flooding was just one throat on rt. carb. Then it was other two bores on same carb. I removed needle assembly and blew it out. Must have been the problem because no problem since. I checked float level with a gauge and one was on spec, other a bit low. Left it alone for now. I did check the valve in the pump later and it was fine. Thanks again to all for the help. |
