Can someone please tell me how the interior light in the backpad is hooked up? I have 3 connections, 1 with a black w/red stripe, 1 brown w/white stripe and 1 with 2 brown wires. I've tried several combinations but it doesn't seem bo be right.
Thanks |

Black with red stripe should be +12v, and hooks to the side of the light without the switch.
The brown one should be grounded all the time, and the brown with white stripe should be grounded when the one of the doors is opened. On a 74, the brown with white stripe wires passed through the big brother idiot relay under the passenger seat. It was to make the buzzer go off when the seatbelt wasn't hooked. With them hooked up like that, you can set the light to be on all the time,or only when the door is opened. Hope that helps!!! |
