(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) Hi guys and whoever is not at WCC--for those that are at WCC-- (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/flipa.gif)
Here are some pics of my racing seat install: The mounts I made from square aluminum tube procured from home labyrinth--I am useing industrial door hinges on my seat in particular--I had to glass in my seat pan cause I just do not have the time or money to get a proper piece--but it is stronger than original. Both seats will be hard mounted in recline--but still moveable fore and aft. I never readjust my recline and do not need the feature. Another reason I am doing the hinges this way is down here in SoFl the chances of getting side smacked are very, very high. So in the event it was to happen, my method will allow the seat to break away from the impact, thus hopefully saving my life, and yet there is very good strength to hold my fat ass in. My favorite drill bit in the world is the one pictured--it is the unibit---good for 90% of my uses--it is a bear, I have drilled like a demon with this thing, smoke and all, and it is still just as sharp as the day I bought it. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) The other pics of how it will look in the car. I did not engineer it this way, but to my surprise and satisfaction, there is enough room to mount an 8 inch bazooka tube between the seats!!! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beer.gif) So now I am very ecstatic of having a very nice ride and killer tunes as well!!! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/cool_shades.gif) Enjoy! Questions, comments?? Attached image(s) |

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) Here is my cross bar of flat steel to mount the seats to the original pan mounts---the seat mounts and sliders which came with them are wider than the stock pan mounts.
