So it looks like Porsche built what a bunch of you have already been doing. The new Cayman being turbo, 4 cyl boxer, mid-engine! Surely they were lurking on the 914world forums and all the wrx conversions got the engineers thinking! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Kinda cool!

If only they would build our lovely 914 again (pop-up headlight and all). *sigh* If they did, we probably wouldn't like it. Just look at the redone VW, Fiat, and Mini: though they retain the same general appearance, they are huge by comparison. Safer and more capable for sure but part of my attraction to my 914 is the provenance. Long live the disco years! |
