THE CONTINUING CHRONICALS OF " BLACK SABBATH " I kinda feel RIDDICK-- (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/aktion035.gif)

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) Well, got about 80% of my interior completed this weekend. Everything from dash replace, trim, seatbelts, carpeting, door sills, column mods, and racing seat install.

Still have shifter, stereo, door panels and one piece of carpeting to secure--so not a bad two days work-- (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

Overall the car is 70% done. This from starting on Dec 18th with a running daily driver to a full tear down, baking soda stripping, flaring, and complete overhaul of suspension, brakes, steering, lids, body panels, and wheels, complete repaint--and a plethora of mods and upgrades.

All done in the elements, in my driveway, on jack stands, with me working in the street most of the time as my truck bed was my workshop.... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif)

By the end of this week the overall chassis will be complete sans stereo and door panels--those will have to wait.

Already started tearing down my very tired but trusting friend of a 1.7L dual carbed motor. I am shooting for a May 25th light off----I should be able to do it...I will accept any prayers of fortitude and success, man I cannot wait to light it off and get the final piece of the puzzle done--the alignment--cause after that , look out, my dodge truck will have weeds growing outta it soon... Coolness! Looks like time well wasted.

It's a real shame that they make throw away cars these days, imagine a guy in thirty years... watching what TV has become by then... hour long commercials, with 60 second sitcoms, 4 times an hour...

Beats restoring an Escalade!

I like it. What exactly did you use for carpet? That's exactly what I want, but I don't know what it is.

Thanks! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) Morph-n-spectra products--from here on the vendors list---took some trimming on my part--but I used to install carpet for a living, so pretty easy for me---it looks too cool! I rhino lined my firewall, and with the rubber backing of the carpet, along with the felt itself, should give pretty good noise damping--
