well it's official the 1.8 in my teener is slowly dying...=( it's gonna require an overhaul of the bottom end, but if i could find a another 1.8 or 2.0 for less im willing to swap instead of overhauling the current engine. Unfortunately, my funds right now do not surpass the $300 mark. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sad.gif) if anyone here on the forum has a link to a F.I. 1.8 or 2.0 and maybe if it comes down to it an f.i. 1.7 for the amount i can afford please PM or email me. i prefer the engine ready to swap in w/out much tinkering...AND yes this will be my first engine swapping. thanks in advance ....

yea i know $300 isnt much, but i'll gladly include the current engine along w/ the cash....the current engine is a stock fuel injected 1.8 w/ new cap, rotor, distributor, wires, plugs, fuel pump, and fuel pressure regulator. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif)

figure at least 50+ members are at the WCC (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/driving.gif)

why do you think it's the bottom end that needs fixing?

i have a good 1.8, but it has fresh and perfect 2.0 heads on it, let me find the 1.8 heads and see how much it would be to fix the broken head stud.......

Sorry to hear about your sick Teener. Wish I could help. However, no current plans to pull my 1.8.

didn't you just get a motor for free or at a killer price from a fellow member??

if so, I hope you pass on the same deal and try not to make money off of it (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/headbang.gif)

well i dropped by the usual shop, but before i could say anything the guy remembered me driving off the previous visit, and heard something louder than a loose valve type of noise...his exact quote "your engine is getting tired, it's time for an overhaul of the bottom end, sounds like your crank n such" as for the top end it's fine it was rebuilt when i got the car...
