Need help here please. When going from a 1.7 with 40 carbs and rebuilding to a 2.0. What are some of my ignition and distributor choices without getting to outrageous. Thanks Paul

You can run the dizzy from the 1.7.
Or you can run a bosch 009, or 050 with purely centrifugal advance.
There are plenty of opinions about those you can look up yourself.

If you have the cash, the "best" dizzy is the Mallory Unilite (now MSD).

Or if you are the adventurous type you can use a mega/microsquirt or other Electronic ignitions and not even need a distributor.

Thanks Stugray, a little history the 009 and electronic ignition that is currently in the car is 30 years old so I want to replace it to ensure everything is fresh. So 009 over the 050 is there a model number I should be looking for on the MSD ignition. What about the Pertronix distributor and electronic ignition.
