Looking for a turn signal switch for a 1976...member sold me a decent one, but it appears its for a 1973 (2 brass tabs)..my broken one has one brass tab.

Also means I am selling a switch for a 1973! (paid $25 + shipping)

....unless smarter people tell me they are interchangable, which they do not appear to do.

Thanks much.

The turn signal switches are interchangeable. 73-76 are the same in the VW and 914. The brass tabs count has nothing to do with the function. The one tab lets them cut cost and sell more switches because you got extra wear out of the second one. The 75-76 wiper switch is NOT interchangeable with the 73-74.

If your hell bent on wanting one with the single brass tab; I have one for sale. I'd take $50 for it.
