This is pobally a stupid Question but will a vw bus muffler work on a porsche 914 1.7 l exhaust

I believe it should fit. But I have taken a close look at that muffler, and it appears to be very poorly made, and the tubing used was significantly smaller than stock exhaust tubing diameter.

Also depends on what Heat Exchangers and hanger you use....

If it were to fit the heat exchangers it looks like the mufflers may interfere with the rear valence. A Bursh extractor has similar pipes, but it takes the final pipe over the collector and places the muffle above and behind it. I think... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif)
