Yeah, I know...914s didn't come with these from the factory. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/WTF.gif)
A little bit of "patina". Good solid pins. Looks like never had speed nuts as the PO glued it onto the hood. No pry marks.... My '74 CanAm LE came with the earlier "orange stripes" version installed using the pins with clips. Maybe the factory didn't put them on in 1974 but then dealers must have. No identity crisis...maybe just a sales tool. |

Dealer or PO installations....pretty much an accepted historical fact. Like the radios and AC. All dealer installed/hacks.
They (the stealers) also, in many cases, removed the fifth Fuchs wheel, replaced them with steel wheels and sold them in the parts departments....dealers are thieves....they had a lot of ways of screwing the customer. |
