I have the Greg Smith 4 post with two of the rolling bridge jacks. I have been very happy with it overall. The bridge jacks are great in that the let you get the suspension in the air.
The four posts are not ideal for dropping 914 engine, there is generally too little room in the middle (although it can be done). Some models let you turn the runners around but then you can't mount the bridge jacks. I do believe a two post such as the (DanMAr MaxJack for home garages) might offer more flexibility for vehicle servicing. The downside is ensuring your concrete slab is sufficient for bolting down the two post. Lots of info and opinions for various options (including single post) on garagejournal. |

The downside is ensuring your concrete slab is sufficient for bolting down the two post. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) I don't think standard 4" slabs are adequate from some of the disaster stories I have read about 2 post lifts. |
