Hello,
To take the jack with me I bought these rubber straps w/hardware from 914Rubber.
Today I find that there are no hook-up point in my trunk for this (must be wrong year).

There is however a metal clamp (that seems to work), to hold the jack. In the Haynes manual it shows how the clamps hold the jack. But mine does not fit.

Please see pictures and comment.
Car is from 1972.

Thanks everyone. Attached Image

You have the late style jack. You need the early style shown in the manual pictures

Your car is early, your jack is late.
Your jack looks kinda long too. And upside down.
Maybe a VW bus jack ?

Looks like early car with late jack. Early jack is round. IIRC.

There a few on Ebay at this time....

The cheapest is: http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-BILSTEIN-JACK-...Alg&vxp=mtr

Not affiliated

But this one's in nicer shape: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-914-911-35...LJp&vxp=mtr

Again, not affiliated

Personally I'd do the 'Classified' section here on 914World. Bound to be a zillion guys will to part with an early style.

While it may look correct sitting in the rear trunk, they're not the most stable things in the world. I dounbt many of us still use it to lift the car.
